1. What is your name and where are you from?
My name is Nutshapon Tusangiam, in Thai Culture we usually have a nickname so my nickname is Nut but people call me TU because in Thai’s sound it’s more fitting to my personality , and that’s why I picked TU!! As my career name. I was born in Samut Prakarn and now am a local boy in the big town, Bangkok.
2. What's your backstory? How did you end up pursuing a career in art, and how has your life journey influenced your artistic style?
My back story is I love Art so much , even since I was conscious… say 4 Years old (?) when I started doodling, my parents were super supportive so I kept pushing myself to pursue art education at Silapakorn University , Department of Visual Communication Design (B.A). Then I was scared to go solo after graduation so I decided to kick off as a full-timer….at some Youtube animation studio’s channel. And that’s how I developed my NFT skill afterwards from knowing how to animate and make some trippy visualizations. Then Covid hit, but I didn’t give up. I saved up some money and decided to quit the company to finally follow my dream… to be the true independent artist. Now I’m doing it and I took my animation skills and developed them with my street art… I call it Pop- Psychedelic art.
3. When you're not creating art, what are some of your favorite things to do or hobbies?
I fucking love Bboying, for me it’s where sport and creativity meet in the middle. I love working out but I hate typical gym, so I go for breaking. Whenever I have artblock , I channel my creativity to breaking instead.
4. Are there any people or artists who've had a big impact on your life as an artist? Who are some artists that inspire you and your work?
Ma man 3Puck is the GOAT! He’s a Thai living and ongoing LEGEND and I used to take him as my main inspiration since high school. I wanted to be like him one day. Now I’m thankful I got to be right next to him now exhibiting together.
